Meet Other People and Cook

What is Meet Other People and Cook (MOPAC)?
MOPAC is the hybrid cooking club for those looking to make new connections! Dive into a flavorful journey as you prepare delicious meals using cookbooks authored by food experts, chefs and mixologists.

How does MOPAC work?
Members cook tasty meals at live online cooking events. Members then meet up IRL (in real life). IRL events are made possible through affinity groups.

Community Events
Each month we hold two community events. "Saturyay!" is held the first Saturday of the month. "Sunday Snacks" are held the third Sunday of the month. Both events are led by food enthusiasts. We use cookbooks written by chefs and mixologists.

Affinity Groups
We form affinity groups based on the shared interests of our members. Members tell us what affinity group they want to be in. Affinity groups have 9 to 12 individuals which meet for one year. These groups are peer led. On a peer-led basis, affinity groups meet quarterly IRL (3x a year). Some of our affinity groups include 20's, 30s, 40+, men, women, mixed, and LGBTQIA.

IRL events in the Chef's Club activities include
"Pool, Ping Pong and Popcorn" @ Ocean8
"Cake at The ClubHouse" @ The Lawn Club
"Axes, Archery and Apples" @GothamArchery

FYI's
-

Greek Orzo Salad
The ingredients in this dish hit all the right notes. A great meal for early fall incorporating hearty orzo grains and spicy arugula leaves.
